Google has just updated Google Android Auto on October 31, 2022. On November 18, 2022, less than 20 days later, Google released a new version of Google Android Auto.
Today's edition takes you through the latest update to Google Android Auto and Testing Tools version 4.1. We will describe the update in the following 9 sections.

1. Partner Development Kit (PDK) 4.1. See the PDK 4.1 Release Notes for details.
2. Protocol Specification 4.1. This release provides the specification for the new protocol messages added in PDK 4.1.
3. Head Unit Integration Guide (HUIG) 4.1. This release of the HUIG adds support for the features added in PDK 4.1 and features various changes across the UX, wireless, audio, video and vehicle data sections. See the HUIG change log for the full list of changes.
4. Screen size calculator v4.1 The screen size calculator v4.1 supports a new format for calculations and a preview of the AAP UI expected for the content area.
5. UX Integration Guide (UXIG) 4.1. This UXIG version features updated context, design process and guidelines for the user journeys.
6. PCTS Verifier 4.1. This release of PCTS features:
lNew app functionalities that allow filtering based on test status and Head Unit capability.
lAutomation of various audio tests.
lNumoreous test changes and bug fixes.
Partners MUST upgrade to PCTS 4.1 as soon as possible. For details, see the Release Notes.
7. GAL Monitor 4.1. This release of the GAL Monitor adds support for Receiver Library 4.1.
8. Head Unit Compatibility (HUC) Template 4.1. This release updates the UX Green Light and HUC templates to version 4.1. To submit HUC information, partners who request Green Light MUST use this version of the templates.
9. Go-To-Market (GTM) Template 4.1. An updated Go-To-Market (GTM) plan is provided, use it to Green Light projects.(Nov 8)
10. Android Auto 8.3.0. This release of the Android Auto companion app provides bug fixes.
