Hi-Res certification
What is Hi-Res certification?
For headphones enthusiasts, "Hi-Res" this small gold standard believe is not unfamiliar, Hi-Res is called High Resolution Audio, also known as high resolution audio, Hi-Res Audio is a high quality audio product design standard proposed and defined by SONY and set by JAS (Japan Audio Association) and CEA (Consumer Electronics Association). The purpose of Hi-Res audio is to express the extreme quality of music and the reproduction of the original sound, and to get a real feeling of the original singer or performer in the live performance of the atmosphere. As we know, the resolution of the image recorded by digital signal is called, the higher the resolution, the clearer the image. Also, digital audio has its "resolution", because digital signals cannot record linear audio like analog signals, only to make the audio curve more linear. Hi-Res is a threshold for quantifying the degree of linear reduction. The so-called "lossless music" that we see most often is based on CD transcription, and the CD provides an audio sampling rate of only 44.1KHz and a bit depth of 16bit, the highest level of CD audio. And can reach the Hi-Res level of the source, the sampling rate is often higher than 44.1KHz, the bit depth is more than 24bit, according to this idea, Hi-Res level of the source can bring more rich music details than CD. It is because Hi-Res can bring more than CD level sound quality, so the music lovers, as well as the vast number of fans as a belief. Said so much, as a hardware manufacturer, in the context of consumption upgrading, what should we do to have a "little gold standard" Hi-Res? The following section provides a brief introduction.
Hi-Res certification process
1. the first issue, the product should meet the technical requirements of Hi-Res:
< Simulation process >
(1) Microphone response performance: 40 kHz or higher during recording
(2) Amplification performance: 40 kHz or higher
(3) Speaker and headphone performance: 40 kHz or higher
< Number processing >
(1) Recording format: recording capability using 96kHz / 24bit or above format
(2) I/O (interface) : input/output interface with performance of 96kHz / 24bit or higher
(3) Decoding: the file playability is 96kHz / 24bit or higher (both FLAC and WAV are required) (for self-recording devices, the minimum requirement is FLAC or WAV file)
(4) Digital signal processing: DSP processing of 96kHz / 24bit or above
(5) D/A conversion: 96 kHz / 24 bit or higher digital-to-analog conversion processing
2. Applicant information submission
Applicants should submit their information at the beginning of the application
