ISO/SAE 21434 Road Vehicle Network Security Project is a network security standard for road vehicles jointly developed by SAE and ISO. It is a vehicle network security management guidance document for the entire supply chain of the automotive industry (OEM and suppliers at all levels). Its purpose is to guide relevant organizations in the industry:

Define network security policies and processes;

Managing cybersecurity risks;

Promoting a cybersecurity culture.

Last year, the European Union issued network security regulation UNECE R155, which explicitly refers to this standard in its explanatory document. In addition, the domestic auto standards Commission is also promoting the localization of this standard. Vehicle network security is highly likely to become a strong standard in the future. 21434 is one of the most important guidance documents.
