1. What is the WEEE registration for?
WEEE, Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment, is the EU recycling directive of scrapped electronic and electrical equipment. Simply put, under this directive, the manufacturer of electronics and electrical equipment must handle it conveniently and free of charge in accordance with this regulation. Generally speaking, the national electronic products sold to the EU countries should be registered with WEEE certification. Currently, Amazon has a mandatory policy on cross-border e-commerce sales companies, and unregistered WEE registration codes will be removed from the shelves. Of all European countries, Germany has the strictest requirements for environmental protection, so WEEE has to do it.
2. Which products require WEEE registration?
Take the German station as an example, the WEEE registration is mainly for one category of products. The German ElektroG regulations divide electronic appliances into the following six categories:
1. Heat exchanger;
2. Display devices for private households;
3. Lamp / inflatable lamp;
4. Large electronic equipment (over 50cm);
5. Small electronic and electrical equipment;
6. Small IT and telecommunications equipment.
3. Which countries need WEEE registration?
Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands, Denmark, Portugal, Poland, Belgium, Finland, Luxembourg, Austria, Ireland, etc
4. WEEE certification process:
1) Dealers fill in the application form in Germany;
2) The recycling company formulates the recycling contract;
3) Sign and return the signature from the dealer;
4) The recycling company resigns the contract, and the contract becomes effective;
5) The Distributor receives the bills and pays for them;
6) The recycling company shall provide the contract and distributor registration information for EAR review;
7) The WEEE registration code is issued after EAR review, and entered into the German electronic recycling computer query system.
5.Consequences of not applying for WEEE registration
At present, Amazon has implemented a forced closure policy for cross-border e-commerce sales companies, and no registered WEEE registration code will be forced to remove products. Among all European countries, Germany has the most stringent environmental requirements, so German WEEE must be done!
Consequences of not registering for WEEE:
WEEE is not registered and was easily removed by Amazon after blocking the listing. Heavy is on the premise of merchants sell well, by competitors, competitors buy the merchant products, if there is no printed on the product with diagonal trash can, or the product is not registered in Germany, competitors will entrust German lawyer to amazon a letter, asked to stop selling the company's products, and apply for court procedures, destroy all the products of the company in amazon.
At this point, the merchant not only loses all the inventory, but also needs to pay the cost of the lawyer's letter and the cost of destroying the product, which may mean that the company is basically driven out of the German market.
