1. What is air play?
air play is a wireless technology that allows users to wirelessly transmit audio, video or pictures from an air play-enabled device to an air play-enabled receiver device, such as a smart TV or sound system.
2. Functions of air play
1) Screen mirroring: You can mirror your device or screen content to a TV or monitor that supports air play.
2)Audio streaming: Music or other audio content can be wirelessly transferred from an ios device or mac to a sound system.
3)Video push: Videos can be played on devices that support air play without directly connecting the device to the TV.
3. Product requirements that support air play
lSpeaker: The speaker accessory must have a built-in, high-quality, full-range speaker. For example, an accessory just for a subwoofer won't cover the full range of sound requirements.
lAmplifier: Amplifier accessories must provide at least 20W of power per channel
lDigital audio adapter: Digital audio adapter accessories must provide at least one digital output and support analog output. Digital output is usually via HDMI or S/PDIF.
4. Product feature set that supports air play
lMust support stereo audio playback to at least one zone (endpoint)
lCan support multi-channel audio
lMay support multiple regions
