First, the importance of Qi wireless charging certification

Products using the Qi standard must undergo rigorous testing to ensure their safety, interoperability and energy efficiency. Only products that have passed independent laboratory testing can use the Qi logo and be considered "Qi certified" products.

Two, Qi wireless charging certification introduction

Qi is a "wireless charging" standard launched by the Wireless Charging Consortium (WPC for short), which has the characteristics of convenience and versatility. Products from different brands, as long as they have an Qi logo, can be charged with an Qi wireless charger.

Three, Qi certification type and product category

3.1 Qi Authentication type

1) Qi-BPP Certification:

The product supports less than 5W power, uses Qi protocol and must be certified by BPP.

2) Qi-EPP Certification:

The product supports more than 5W power, uses Qi protocol, must be EPP certification.

3) Qi-PPDE Certification:

The product supports more than 5W power, uses Samsung private protocol PPDE, must pass BPP certification +PPDE test (starting from July 1, 2019).

3.2 Category of Qi certified products

1) By coil type:

Single coil: A11, A11a;

Multi-coil: A28;

2) According to common products

Charger products;

Mobile power supply products;

Embedded device (product contains TX transmission function).

4.2 Qi Authentication Period

1) Certification cycle: 20 working days;

2) Certified samples: 5;

Note: This certification cycle does not include sample rectification time.

Five, Qi wireless charging products report

1) Similar products: different colors; Shell surface treatment is different. (Different materials need to be re-certified);

2) Sub-system: if the sub-system has passed the certification, then the products embedded with the sub-system do not need to be retested, can be directly reported;

3) Similar mobile phone accessories: for example, the back clip products are of different sizes and suitable for different mobile phone models, so only partial tests can be carried out.
