ETL

ETL is short for Electrical Testing Laboratories of the United States. ETL laboratory was founded by the American inventor Thomas Edison in 1896 and enjoys a high reputation in the United States and the world. Like UL and CSA, ETL can test and issue ETL certification marks in accordance with UL standards or US national standards. Etl can also test and issue composite certification marks in accordance with UL standards or US national standards and CSA standards or Canadian standards. The lower right "us" means the United States, the lower left "c" means Canada, and both "us" and "c" means both countries.

Criteria for Application

Any electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical product bearing the ETL mark indicates that the product has met the minimum requirements of the generally accepted product safety standards in the United States and Canada and that it has been tested to meet the relevant product safety standards.

ETL also requires that its manufacturing sites have been inspected, and the Applicant agrees to conduct regular follow-up inspections of its plants thereafter to ensure that the products always comply with this requirement.
