The ErP Directive is the new European CE marking regulation. As a CE mark directive, the ErP directive requirements will be implemented along with other requirements such as safety, EMC, radio, etc. 2

Method of Use

The Erp directive is subject to the CE mark requirement. If the products put into the European market fall within the CE range, the CE mark should be carried. In addition, some authoritative foreign certification agencies can provide ErP logo for marketing use

Does Energy Star recognition mark ErP compliance? Not at all. Energy Star is a US certification mark and therefore cannot be used as proof of compliance with the EU directive. The only mark that can be used as proof of compliance is the European ecolabel.

Evaluate product conformity according to the internal design control procedure in Appendix IV of ErP 2005/32/EC.

The simplest and most effective method of compliance assessment is to refer to Annex IV of the EuP Act, namely:

1. Provide LCA(Life cycle assessment) environmental footprint report of products

2. Provide the test report required in the Implementation Rules of ecological design

3. Provide relevant information as requested
