Importance of METI filing in Japan:

1) PSE certification is a mandatory safety certification in Japan, which is used to prove that motor electronic products have passed the safety standard test of Japan Electrical and Material Safety Law (DENAN Law) or International IEC standards.

2) According to the DENTORL Law (Electrical Devices and Materials Control Law), products entering the Japanese market must pass PSE safety certification. Among them, 116 Class A products should obtain the diamond-shaped PSE mark, and 341 Class B products should obtain the circular PSE mark.

3) The METI filing regulations require buyers in Japan to register and declare with METI in Japan within one month after purchasing the products, and mark the purchase name or ID on the products, so as to supervise and manage the product sales in the future.

Japan METI Registration and Application Process:

1) The applicant shall cooperate with Microtest to provide the application documents;

2) Submit test reports and related documents to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan;

Points to note about filing:

3. Is the product label and filing applicant required to be consistent with the name of the registered importer?

If the importer listed on the product nameplate is different from the importer listed on the filing, or if the name of the final seller is different from the name of the company listed on the filing document, Amazon may request a "receipt of Goods" to further prove that the seller actually picked up the goods from this supplier.
