一、ROHS

ROHS is a mandatory standard set by EU legislation. Its full name is the Directive on Restricting the Use of Certain Hazardous Ingredients in Electronic and Electrical Equipment (Restriction of Hazazrdous Substances). The standard was officially implemented on July 1,2006, mainly used to standardize the material and process standards of electronic and electrical products, to make it more conducive to human health and environmental protection. The purpose of the standard is to eliminate lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybromobiphenyl and polybromodiphenyl ether, phthalates and other harmful substances in electrical and electronic products, and focus on the content of lead should not exceed 0.1%.

Which products need to do ROHS?

1. Large home appliances;

2. Small household appliances;

3. Information technology and communication equipment;

4.  Consumer equipment;

5. lighting device;

6. Electrical tools;

7. Toys, leisure and sports equipment;

二、CP65

三、REACH

"Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals; chemical registration, assessment, licensing, and restrictions". This is the EU regulation for the preventive management of all chemicals entering its market, formally implemented on 1 June 2007. This is a regulation involving chemical production, trade, use of safety regulations, regulations designed to protect human health and environmental safety, maintain and improve the competitiveness of the eu chemical industry, and the development of non-toxic harmless compounds innovation ability, prevent market fragmentation, increase the transparency of chemicals, promote the animal experiments, the pursuit of social sustainable development, etc. The REACH directive requires that chemicals imported and produced within Europe must pass a comprehensive set of procedures such as registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction to better and simpler identify the composition of chemicals to achieve the purpose of ensuring environmental and human safety. The directive mainly includes registration, evaluation, authorization, restrictions and other major contents. REACH will create a unified chemical management system within the EU, enabling enterprises to produce new chemicals and their products on the same principle.

四、CPSIA

CPSIA is the Security Improvement Act signed by President George W. Bush on August 14,2008. The decree is the strictest consumer protection act since the Consumer Goods Safety Commission (CPSC) was established in 1972. In addition to the stricter requirements for lead content in children's products, the new law also sets new rules on the content of phthalates, a harmful substance in toys and child care products.

五、PAHs

PAHs, known as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, are a carcinogen. PAHs are carbon hydrogen compounds containing more than two benzene rings, including more than 150 compounds such as anthracene and rene. In electronic appliance manufacturing industry, PAHs usually enter the production process as plastic additives, such as plastic particles are stuck with the mold, which may contain PAHs.
