四、WERCSmart Registration considerations

1. Battery WERCSmart registration mode

A. Registration of batteries not directly sold to retailers

The battery is only used on other electronic products, which are sold under an independent brand. This battery does not have UPC / GTIN code and is registered by the battery supplier to the WERCSmart system for other electronic product suppliers.

B. Registration of batteries sold directly to retailers

This battery has a UPC / GTIN code and is registered on the WERC system, which passes the relevant information to the subordinate retailer specified at the time of registration.

2. WERCSmart registration of electronic products with batteries

The battery supplier first registers the battery information on the WERCSmart system and adds the name of the battery supplier to the WERCS battery supplier list.

Electronic product supplier registers this electronic product. In the step to select the battery information included, you will find the battery supplier in the list and link the battery information. Thus, we can see that the SDS control of electronic products containing batteries is still aimed at batteries.

Main information requirements: SDS file, transportation method, UPC code, packaging method, weight, designated retailer name, retailer contact number and email, qualified supplier ID number.
