1. Different scope of application of the standard

GB 4943.1-2022 The standard will combine the previous version of the GB 4943.1-2011 and GB 8898-2011 two standards of the scope of application, covering the audio and video equipment, information technology equipment, communication technology equipment three categories of equipment, that is, we often say "electronic products". The new GB 4943 national standard is more in line with the development trend of the continuous integration of equipment, covering the three categories of equipment, and gives a unified safety framework and safety baseline requirements. Therefore, the new GB 4943 national standard can better meet the needs of the current industry development.

2. proposed energy source classification and personnel classification

GB 4943.1-2022 The standard grades the energy source of the product, according to the degree of damage caused to "no pain, but can be felt", "pain" but no harm "and" damage ". For example, for the parts with higher power level (energy source level) and more prone to fire due to heat, the material with higher fire protection level is required for protection. The standard also divides the corresponding personnel into three categories according to the understanding and ability to deal with the danger.
