In the field of intelligent driving, car play is undoubtedly a key technology to improve the convenience of vehicle operation and entertainment experience. To further optimize this experience, the official major car play update ——facets 3 was launched in 2024, and the project tasks issued in August 2024 were basically facets 3.
1. New function
facets 3 is a major revamp that brings new car play testing and certification features. The revamp simplifies the process of downloading test plans, executing test cases and uploading results. Simply log in with your m fi account and get test cases customized for your product. Testing is made more efficient with the new test engine and directly connected ats. Results can be uploaded as soon as tests are completed, making it easy to track system performance and certification progress.
2. New experience
1) all testing and certification work can be directly interfaced with the m fi certification center (m ch):
lDownload the latest test cases from m ch;
lThe product plan details available on m ch determine the test cases required for certification, replacing the previous face 2 configuration method;
lThe test cases read the product plan information and perform the validation automatically, reducing the need for manual checking;
ltest results are uploaded to m ch in real time, replacing the previous .facets file, allowing faster feedback, monitoring of system quality, and potentially fewer audits;
lall issues are now handled in m ch.
2) Strong ats connections:
lfacets 3 can connect directly to ats applications using the latest version of ats;
limproves test efficiency through enhanced protocol validation;
lautomatically generates test failure reports with clearer assertions;
lThe newly added WLAN (IEEE 802.11) capture feature replaces the previously slow wireshark trace checks, making the testing process more efficient.
3. Key nodes
lAs of September 1, 2024, all new car play product plans must use facets If there are older product plans that have not yet received configuration approval at the m fi certification center, facets 3 must also be used.
lUntil December 31, 2024, after which facet 2 can no longer be used if it has not been entered into functional testing by that date.
