Miracast Is a wireless display technology developed by the Wi-Fi Alliance that allows multimedia content to be shared wirelessly between devices.
Wi-Fi CERTIFIED Miracast™ supports the seamless display of multimedia content between Miracast® devices. Miracast Enables users to share multimedia content between Wi-Fi devices via wireless connectivity, including high-resolution images and HD (HD) video content, even when no Wi-Fi network is available.
Miracast:
Sending content from the mobile devices to the automotive infotainment system;
Share the content on the laptop display with the projector in the conference room;
Sending HD and 4K Ultra HD (Ultra HD) movies from tablets to HD TVs;
Display photos from a smartphone, computer, or tablet on a large-screen TV set;
Supports multiple audio / video formats to extend battery life for mobile devices.
Miracast It also supports premium content, such as Blu-ray movies, live TV shows and events, and other copyrighted premium content, allowing users to see what they want to see anytime, anywhere.
Miracast Certification is a service provided by the Wi-Fi Alliance to ensure that the device can correctly deliver audio and video content according to the Wi-Fi Display technical specifications. Certified devices can enable seamless transmission of multimedia content between compatible devices, including televisions, set-top boxes, laptops, handheld and tablet devices.
Miracast Certified devices identify and connect to each other, manage the connection, and optimize content delivery based on device capabilities. After the two Wi-Fi devices are matched by Miracast, the user can transmit the content or mirror the display from one device (source device) to another device (display device). Connections can be established through a network infrastructure or a Wi-Fi Direct®, without the need for a Wi-Fi access point or a Wi-Fi network.
Only devices with the Wi-Fi CERTIFIED Miracast logo are Wi-Fi Alliance® certified devices, which can be used well used with other Wi-Fi CERTIFIED™ devices, using the latest security technology and providing a high-quality user experience.
Miracast The certification process includes ensuring that the product meets all the requirements of the Wi-Fi CERTIFIED Miracast ™ technical specification, which usually involves the following steps:
1.Application for certification: The device manufacturer or developer submits a Miracast certification application to the Wi-Fi Alliance.
2.Prepare test equipment: Applicants need to prepare qualified hardware and software equipment for certification testing.
3.Testing: In a certified laboratory, the test equipment performs a series of functional and performance tests as per Miracast standards to verify its compatibility and interoperability.
4.Submit the Test Report: After the test is completed, the certified laboratory will generate the test report and submit it to the Wi-Fi Alliance.
5.Audit and Certification: The Wi-Fi Alliance reviews the test report and confirms that the equipment meets the Miracast standards. If approved, the device will receive Miracast certified.
6.Certification issued: After the certification, the equipment manufacturer can mark the Miracast certification mark on its products and include the equipment in the list of certified products of the Wi-Fi Alliance.
The Miracast certified device list can be found in the Wi-Fi Alliance product search to verify that the device truly supports Miracast and is officially certified. A certified Miracast device will provide a high-quality user experience, including transmission quality comparable to wired connections, and the advantage of carrying devices in both home and work environments.
